Eoghann MacColl was born 1970 in Inverness. He studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, and then completed his Masters in European Fine Art at Winchester School of Art in 1994.

Within his work there are constant questions. Where are we? Is it beautiful here? Is this how it is. Will the sun come out? His interest has grown in where or what we percieve as ‘the subject matter’. But also the contrast of the perception of ‘Highland’ and ‘Lowland’. Potentially confusing when many of us live between the two.
