Now that all outside influences are tempered by lockdown, I find I am using photographic images more. For example models are no longer available to me. So I’ve rediscovered photographs , taken many years ago, of models I no longer see. And they themselves cannot interfere with the paintings. I have a freedom in the use of these images which I am only now beginning to explore and develop. An exciting time. Can it continue? We’ll see.
