Glen ScoullerFrom Studio and Garden
I first showed Glen Scouller’s work at The Fine Art Society in Glasgow and Edinburgh in the early 1980s, followed by a solo show in 1985. This is his eleventh show with me and I am delighted to welcome him back after a gap of five years.
Glen is rightly well known for capturing the light and colour of France and Italy, Portugal and India but this exhibition is drawn from much closer climes – his house and studio and the Loudoun hills around it in Ayrshire, Scotland. Native big skies and the strong colours of spring and autumn belie the perennial needs of Scottish artists’ search for the light of the midi.
