Anne Clare Graham was a graduate from Duncan of Jordansotne College of Art, Dundee Univeristy and is an award winning jeweller.
Anne is presently a tutor for Advanced Jewellery, Open Studios, The Glasgow School of Art and also holds specialists workshops at her own studio in Kilbarchan. Anne is presently an External Verifier for Jewelllery & Craft for the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
“My practice involves the design and manufacture of small production ranges, one-off pieces of Jewellery and small Silversmithing in silver and gold, sometimes incorporating semi precious and precious stones.”
“The concept and inspiration for these designs have evolved through a series of observations and drawings of architectural and organic forms and their juxtaposition. Details and patterns are integrated in the designs through the use of texture, shape and form. They are fabricated using traditional and modern techniques. “
Anne Clare Graham’s work has recently been in galleries such as the Roger Billcliffe Gallery, Anne Morgan Gallery, Arteartesania, & the Craft Council. Previously she has exhibited at Goldsmiths Hall, Liberty’s, Kelvingrove Art Gallery, The Scottish Gallery, The National Museums of Scotland and galleries in New York, France and Germany. Her work has been sold in retail outlets throughout Britain, in Australia, USA and Holland.
Anne’s major commissions include Howden Compressors, Scottish Gas, Glasgow Academy and the BBC and she has received several awards from the Scottish Arts Council, Scottish Development Agency and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. Including being shortlisted for the Creative Skills Award: Jewellery Skills of the Year Award in 2015 for her contribution towards training and mentoring her students.
