The jewellery in my current collection is inspired by botanical forms, such as leaves, flowers and ornamental shapes found in nature. My work is bold, modern and decorative – it has a tactile quality, which responds to the movement of the body and the interplay of light. Each piece is handmade using traditional workshop skills. I am interested in the surface finish of silver, and apply a slightly textured surface to the metal, along with patterned wires and high quality semi precious stones and freshwater pearls. I design elegant, original pieces of jewellery which are comfortable to wear yet have a strong contemporary feel.
